How XAIGuard compares
The AI security market splits into three groups, and most tools do one layer well. XAIGuard covers four — runtime enforcement, AI data posture, agent and MCP governance, and audit-grade evidence — at a size and price the mid-market can actually run.
Three groups, three different jobs.
- 01
Runtime-only guardrail tools
Inline prompt and response inspection: injection detection, PII redaction, jailbreak filtering. Strong at the request path, thinner on data posture, agent identity and audit-grade evidence.
- 02
Posture & governance suites
Discovery, classification and risk scoring across data stores, models, agents or MCP servers. Excellent visibility and workflow, usually reporting rather than blocking at the moment of use.
- 03
Large platform vendors
AI security folded into an existing network, cloud or GRC platform. Deep integration and procurement leverage if you already own the platform; less flexible if you do not.
Across all four layers, for the mid-market. Guardrail tools stop at the request path, posture suites report rather than block, and platform vendors deliver depth only if you already own the platform. XAIGuard is the single control plane for teams that need enforcement, posture, agent containment and evidence without an enterprise programme to run it.

How is XAIGuard different from an AI gateway?
AI gateways route and rate-limit model traffic. XAIGuard enforces prompt DLP and guardrail policy inline, then records every decision in a signed, hash-linked evidence chain — and also covers data posture, agent and MCP governance and adversarial testing.
How does XAIGuard compare with a DSPM tool?
Classic DSPM scores datastores. XAIGuard extends posture to AI-specific surfaces — shadow-AI destinations, agents, MCP servers and the prompts and responses moving through them — and can block risky flows rather than only reporting them.
Why not build guardrails in-house?
A DIY stack can classify prompts, but the ongoing cost sits in policy maintenance, adversarial test coverage, framework mapping and producing evidence an auditor accepts. XAIGuard ships those as product surfaces.
